Melissa Wiltshire is a Mental Health Counselor pursuing her Masters degree at Saint Joseph's University. She will then pursue her licensure in Clinical Mental Health Therapy. With her structural approach with Mindfulness, Holistic healing tied with the Cognitive Behaviors Model in therapy, she works with each client with the pure intentions of addressing the whole of a person. Melissa has certifications in Mindfulness Interventions, Strategic Planning Approach to Suicide Prevention, and Psychological First Aid. Being raised in a Caribbean family and being educated in Catholic institutions Melissa was all too aware of the restrictive feelings that come with guilt, shame and the deprivation of self-expression. With this insight, she works with her clients to help develop a keen sense of individualization and helps each person enhance the Self-Love within.
Melissa loves working with teens and young people and has been doing so for over 10years. She has the best results with persons between the ages of 13-25yo. She can connect with them and creates safe and compassionate spaces for them to freely express themselves. Focusing on the client’s strengths and resiliency, Melissa believes the therapeutic relationship should be authentic and synergetic, and one that feels safe and supportive. William Wright-EL is a husband, father of 4 and an educator for over 16 years. He is an aspiring author of “Waiting for the Sun”, a journey in which being a statistic is not an option. He earned his B.S degree in History and Black Studies at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. Went on to earn his M.S. Degree in Counseling: Higher Education and Student Affairs from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and has worked as an adjunct professor and academic advisor at Temple University in the College of Engineering.
The man of many hats was the advisor for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and S.M.O.O.T.H. (Strong Men Overcoming Obstacles Through Hard work). He is a change agent and an advocate for equal opportunity in education. He specializes in working with First Generational College Students and underrepresented populations in higher education. He has worked as the Student Affairs and Advising Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania in the School of Engineering, where he created a community service and civic engagement program for engineering students where they can use their skills to help enhance the West Philadelphia Community entitled P.E.S.T.L.E. (Penn Engineering Student Learning and Engagement). Currently, He is the Associate Director for Accesses and Retention and Case Management in the Student Intervention Services Office at Penn. His roll entails him managing an endowed emergency fund of 1.6 million dollars, as well as providing crisis intervention and prevention for the Penn Community. He is also in the process of earning his LPC in counseling so he can open a private practice with the focus of removing the stigma mental health has within the African American Community. He has dedicated his life to mentoring young adults to move in the direction of their passion. He shares with his students that “The only pursuit that should be a constant focus is to find happiness, water it, allow it to grow and the fruit that is produced will be your greatest work.”
